Institute of Family Practice

The Institute of Family Practice (IFP) has been an RTO since 1997 and has been delivering training in dispute resolution for over 14 years and was one of the first organisations to offer this training in Australia, bringing experts from the United States to train in the early 1990s.

Since that time IFP has delivered 51 courses in dispute resolution and delivered training to over 626 participants to enable FDR practitioners to meet current and past Family Law Regulations. Since 2003, IFP has also been delivering accredited training to FDR practitioners through its Certificate IV in Community Mediation.

The IFP has extensive experience assessing the competence of students in live supervision with consenting Unifam clients, in a range of areas including application of family law, domestic violence as well as the practice of conducting FDR.

IFP's highly skilled trainers and assessors are also highly experienced practitioners who have been delivering training, assessing students and providing supervision in Family Dispute Resolution for a number of years.
